Missouri Rock Supply handles gravel and aggregate delivery in Lebanon, MO, and the first thing a yard hand will tell you is to size the load before you pick the material. Use the calculator, put in your numbers, and order by the ton or the yard. On rocky Ozark Plateau ground, guessing runs you short or leaves you with a pile you have to move twice.

For most jobs here, that means base rock under the surface, fill dirt under that, and 3/4 inch clean where water has to move.

Delivery to Lebanon and the Surrounding Area

You order online, choose your quantity by the ton or the yard, and pick a delivery date at checkout. The calculator is the tool for getting the number right, because a driveway pad and a shed pad do not take the same load.

A dump truck delivers to your site and places the pile where you want it. If the truck cannot reach the build site, say so at checkout and plan on moving material from the driveway end.

From our Lebanon coverage we also run loads to Conway, Phillipsburg, Eldridge, Falcon, and Lynchburg, all in Laclede County.

Materials for Lebanon Projects

Most of what we run into Lebanon goes down as fill and sub-base. Building pads, driveways, and farm lanes all need grade raised before anything else happens, and that means Fill Dirt first.

Fill dirt raises grade, fills low spots, and backfills around foundations. Once it is in and compacted, Base Rock goes on top as your sub-base. This is the same material Missouri quarries sell as type 5 base or type 1 base.

If you want a base that binds and compacts hard, use Crusher Run. It carries fines, so it locks together instead of staying loose.

Where water has to move, #57 Limestone is the washed stone to order. Missouri quarries sell it as 1 inch clean, washed with no fines.

Driveway surfacing is another thing entirely. Driveway Gravel tops a compacted base course and takes the tire wear.

For a patio or walkway, Screenings bed the pavers and pack tight underfoot.

Ground and Conditions in Lebanon

This is cherty, rocky clay over limestone and dolomite, thin and stony on the slopes and ridges, with a thin silty cap on the flatter uplands. Digging here is slow because of the chert and rock in the ground, not because of mud.

That ground moves under a base that was not built for it. If you lay base rock over soft clay without enough depth, the edges pump and the surface breaks up. Compact the fill in lifts, then compact the base course before you surface it.

Water is the other half. Heavy storms push fast runoff off the rocky slopes into narrow valleys and creeks, while on flatter ground a lot of it goes underground through sinkholes and cracks in the bedrock. Plan a drainage outlet before you raise grade, or water finds one for you.

Erosion follows the same path. Storm runoff washes soil and chert gravel off graded ground into creeks, and soil can wash down into sinkholes and openings in the rock.

Timing matters. Spring is the wettest stretch and storms raise creeks quickly, so grade work is easier later in the season. Winters are milder than northern Missouri, but January nights still average below freezing and days usually thaw, so freeze-thaw cycles are frequent. Footing depth is set by the local building code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about gravel and aggregate delivery in Lebanon, MO

What is the best base under pavers in Lebanon?

Compacted base rock, then screenings for the bedding course. Base rock is the standard Missouri base material. Put it down, compact it in lifts, then bed the pavers in screenings so they sit flat and lock in place. Skip the screenings and the pavers rock.

Do you supply contractors working in Lebanon?

Yes. Missouri Rock Supply supplies bulk aggregate to contractors and homeowners in Lebanon and across Laclede County. You order online, choose your quantity by the ton or the yard, and pick a delivery date at checkout. A dump truck delivers and places the load on site. The calculator is there for sizing each load.

Where will the material be placed?

Wherever you tell us, as long as the truck can safely reach it. Mark the spot before the delivery and someone should be on site to point the driver to it. If nobody can be there, leave clear instructions when you order and we will follow them.
